Well it is a good idea that large automakers are finally stepping up on electric hybrid vehicles. The only thing that i do not understand is, why don't they use ethanol in the hybrid vehicles rather than gasoline. This would pretty much solve the case of not using foriegn oil.
Bottom line is that ethanol is not the way. Not only is it more expensive, it takes a gallon and a half of gasoline to make a gallon of ethanol.
