Since your question has already been answered, I might throw in my 2 cents.

Legal Advice:

Since it is a fix it ticket, just replace or do what ever it is that you do to show the judge that you fixed it, and get it dismissed. Don't bother trying to prove that the cop was an asshole, just get the ticket dismissed, and be on your merry way, because by some chance the cop can prove that he measured from the right place or was in the right, you are the only one that comes out looking like a ass, not the cop.

I understand that you may feel as if you have been sterotyped, but with good reason. It's not the moms in the minivans that street race, and about the cops tailgating to run your plates, since so many hondas get stolen, Im ok with having the cops check my plates to see that it is not stolen.
