i did do a number on my tires in one day. i tried many different throttle positions, maybe i was catching some of the water from the burnout box and my tires were too wet? 
if i go this weekend i need to make sure i avoid that stuff as best i can, and launch super slow, and just be happy with 14's on street tires.
Good luck hooking when its that cold out..... That weathers pretty good for power but no good for traction, some cars out there have a better chance of hooking on wet grass.....
