I've seen a CBR-RR motor that was built incorrectly, and guess what happened, ring lands took a shit probably 600 miles in and ate cylinder walls with it. I'm not saying I'm not all omnipotent, but if a guy can get a season off a full blown 2600+ hp drag motor, do you not agree for a street driving car, replacing pistons every other week is excessive? I understand you pay to play, this has nothing to do with that.
Better yet, lets get more information on exactly why he's replacing pistons. I'm guessing he blew something up, in which case, its like throwing a band aid on a leg that got thrown into a wood chipper.
Again, these aren't attacks on you, so don't come out swinging and tell me I don't know what I'm doing as you have no idea on how many motors i've built and been into.
Edit: Forgot the 'not' in front of all omnipotent.
you saying you have to pull the tranny to take off a oil pan gave a big assumption you havnt done many. Im sure 2600hp race engines aren't using plain jane stock honda pistons. Only thing that would happen was the ring land would break, nothing bad ever happened to a cylinder. You say your not trying to attck me but some of the comments kinda seem like it.
but no reason to say anything until he says why he needs to replace them, then he can get advise from people
