There are only a handful of actually knowledgeable folks around here and pretty much any Toyota fan is little more than a 4 cylinder fanboy who is going to tell you some gutless 4 cylinder is more powerful regardless of the facts.

If you really want to do this I’d suggest getting a n/a car. They are cheaper and let’s be honest; you are going to want to upgrade things like the brakes anyway.

Ebay is a great place to find one with a blown engine because there is forever some stupid kid doing something to their car to destroy the engine.
