You can get mod insurance. Like you have to tell them (and probably show receipts) which mods and how much they cost, then they will insure them for a reasonable value. I don't have it, but I'm sure someone on here does and can explain more.

Most probably don't report them as they're not going to cover them unless your paying extra.
