For a few reasons really :

I am deploying to Iraq (possibly afghanistan this time depending on how things go next year),and I want to have a plan before I go. If I kept the cobra,it would become a money pit between building the motor,buying a blower,and building the suspension/drivetrain. Not to mention getting the car repainted and any other things I would do along the way. Its just not something I want to do. Id rather cut my losses,buy a 2k or 3k honda,and just save the residual money for the deployment. Then when I return,my options will be 100% larger. This is the problem I had when I came back from deployment the first time. I had no credit,and a lot of money. This time I will have good credit,and a whole lot of money.

Other than that,I want to get into something a little newer,with some "luxury" type features to it.
