I won't be targeting 18 year old kids; I'll be targeting the semi-trailer doing 80 in a 55 down the highway. I'll be targeting the blue haired old lady doing 30 in a 45. I'll be targeting the dude in the passing lane going the exact same speed as the person next to him in the travel lane so no one can pass. I'll be targeting the 5 cars in a row that still take that left hand turn AFTER their light has turned red so they are now blocking oncoming traffik.
Well dude you are already off to a bad start. You are making the worst mistake already and you are not even a cop yet. You are profiling people....yup some defense attorney is gonna eat you up in court. A word of advice to you don't "target" anyone. I go to work and i give no one any special attention. If you break the law you get treated like everyone else, You either get a ticket, or God forbid you get arrested. I don't go into work saying...lets see how many people i can arrest today. I go into work everyday saying " lets try to make it home in one piece." The only groups, or whatever you wanna call 'em, i pay more attention to are the gun toatin' narcotic dealers and users. I am the officer that you see in the worst parts of town, not only are they my district, but i like that. I like takin those kinds of people to jail. I hate to break it to ya guys but equipment stops such as tint, tail lights out, broken windshields, and other petty crap like that help get drugs and guns, murderers and rapists, kidnappers and sexual offenders off the street. You guys are just gonna have to get over the fact that a policer officer is going to stop you for an infraction of law, thats part of our jobs. I will admit we have some traffic nazis, but stopping cars and stopping people for the smallest stuff gets the above mentioned lawless citizens off the streets and in jail. You people always say that we are not doing our jobs when we stop cars, but yes we are. if you check the va state code book....start at the 46.2 section and those are all the traffic laws. you break 'em and you risk facing the consequences, same as any other crime. just because you get stopped by 1 cop, you guys think we are not doin our jobs. 1 cop stops you and you guys forget about the 25 others that are workin somewhere else in the city bustin somebody else for somethin bigger and better. Guys and Gals, the police will always be here, and there will always be sombody breakin some law somewhere.....get over it.
