If you use Nite Shades then the brightness is not effected. Now those who use limo tint do actually make them dimmer.
Mine are lightly tinted on my black car. They are just as bright at night and the day as they were before anything was done.
You want to complain about tail light brightness, how about we all take a gander at GTI's tails. Those fuckers are dim as shit and have almost no light to even show any form of a car.
