I think it's fine though. I tend to judge people's intelligence based on their typing and speaking, so it just makes everything easier for me.
That's a really good point. That's really the only way you can judge someone in an online forum, so the least people could do if they are trying to get a point across is type in proper English. I have seen a recurring issue in the classified section where people like to make their typing "short and sweet," and end up sounding like they have down syndrome. If you think the person knows nothing, how likely are you to buy something from them versus someone else? Not very.
