if there's actually damage to the rear suspension, definitely. plus, the car is should still be under warranty (extended to 50k, but i doubt it covers weather issues and the sti springs i have).
but the lip is a knock-off polyurethane. i'm not really concerned about it since i can pick one up off ebay for about $80.
