My idea of performance and your idea are probably totally different. I've always had very stiff rates which are not the most comfortable thing on a street car

As far as suspension goes, stick to the germans for the best all around. H&R, Koni, Bilstein all make great products.

When I build another S2k, I'm going with Koni Yellows and a custom set of full coil springs on a threaded perch.

I don't like how short most coil over springs are.
I am running the Pss9;s and they are amazing coils. You cant go as low as most but performance wise they are amazing and not too bumpy. H&R coils go about an inch lower and know many people who are running them.
