this is called insurance fraud.
you will also probably be required to send in this phone in to get your replacement. or, you will have to report it stolen and the current owner will now be holding a "stolen" phone in their hand. either way, it's not a good idea and can land you in jail. glws though.
on top of all of that, you make insurance rates go up and cause the insurance companies to question legitimate claims for replacement.
