you're right,but my color change on one of my cars(which it looks like he wants a color change)costs several times what his budget is,not including the additional bodywork i needed.
but,of course,every job's going to be different,and they may offer something with less extras-i'd definitely go get an estimate though-it couldn't hurt to at least find out.
there are also plenty of mid ranged(as far as price and quality)paces around here that are leaps and bounds above anything from Scheib or Maaco.i've seen several cars that i'd be more than happy with for what was spent.really,this is the way i'd go anyway.unless the car will be a show queen that hardly ever gets driven and is stored inside,i wouldn't want a full blown Wooding's job-it's just too much of a PITA to maintain and too much to worry about.
