you can swap forks with the trees, but if you don't know how to size bearings and modify stems, you should stick to 35mm forks. go for CB750F 76-78 if you want a little longer slightly better fork. I don't remember if the axles are the same or not. you may get lucky and be able to use the Cb550 wheel and axle with no issues.
Well its a 500 four, got a look at it today when i went to work on his car. Im going to do some research. my cousin is a machinist and i wonder if he could make some tree plates to incorporate maybe some newer cbr forks, or something but then i dont know what wheel i would use. If i stay with the cb forks (whether it be 750 or what) i think im going to use a 21" harley wheel and just lace it to the stock honda hub, ive seen a few do this and it looks good. Not to mention the wheel is just $40, but then you have to but spokes but oh well. Im still on a "quest" for the bike however. Looking for a cb750 mainly, but other cbs may work. So if you know of any let me know.
