She wimpers at the door just before you enter but for the most part shes stays pretty quite unless provoked.

I do not keep her in a cage at all and personally dislike crate training. Although I can see where crate training can aid ownership especially with people who live in apartments or townhouses but I wanted her raised as apart of the family and not as a caged in pest. When I am away she either gets free roam through the house or backyard (depends on weather and company and so forth ) and I have never had a problem with her. The only behavior that may pose a problem to some people is that she loves to sleep in the bed with you ... most rott owners I meet report the same thing though.
