the e36 is massively DETUNED.....there is a lot more in that engine.....there are a couple e36 coupe m3s that have intake, exhaust and chip that are considerably faster than stock ones. ive had a few techs that have taken the cars for test drives that have said the lightly modded ones pulled almost as hard as the e46 m3s....which have stock 330 hp at the crank......the e36 m3 stock is about 240 at the crank if im not mistaken..
