TSCC had a cone clinic in April, so you're a bit late for that. I *think* there's an Evo school coming up Oct 17/18 at ACU4. Evo is more expensive than the cone clinics, but the instructors are all professional instructors vice club volunteers. Some of the various clubs do novice instruction days, too, so keep an eye out- the Mini Cooper club had a Sniper School last year that was opened to TSCC members, and I jumped on that! The BMW club & Porsche club had their joint training autocross a few weeks ago. Not sure about the corvette club, mustang club, etc, but wouldn't hurt to keep an eye out. It's all about seat time, seat time, seat time, and the cone clinics are terrific for that. You can also get people to ride along with you during the autocross to give pointers and help.
Speaking of codrivers,,, my wife came out to watch me race twice. After that, she started driving, too! Now it costs me twice as much to race *and* we have to find a babysitter! I guess the pro side is that I don't have to argue very hard to drop 2 grand on a set of racing tires
