I would highly recommend
against doing business with Professional Engines in Christiansburg. I had my cylinder head "ported" and valvetrain components installed by Professional Engines. I believe I spoke with a man named Adam, but I can't be sure. I don't think it was Terry.
Regardless, they said that it would be done in a very short amount of time: "only a couple days." After two weeks of absolutely no contact, I receive a phone call from a man asking "where are the keepers? I cannot find them in your box of valvetrain components." I realize that they have been blowing me off for the past couple weeks, so I ask him what's been going on and he responds (I quote):
We've been very busy lately and I put your stuff on the back burner.
So he admitted to me that I was the least important job in his shop and stated that he had put my work on hold until he was "less busy." After receiving my cylinder head a week later, I found a horrible porting job.
Cylinder four could almost pass off as if it were ported by a four year old. Cylinder three looks a bit worse, cylinder two looks even worse, and cylinder one looks as if he ported it with his tongue.
So I'm assuming he got pretty lazy between ports, and decided to do a shittier and shittier job on each one. He didn't even bother to get deep into the runners, and I'm not even sure he fucking matched the port openings with the valves.
Don't go with Professional Engines, lest you be butt raped.
