I have 3 years in the IT field and economy is kicking us in the behind right now. But you might have a better chance then me cause my background isn't that clean compared to yours.

But if you really want to get your foot in the door check out YEARUP.ORG. I enrolled in that program and i was offered three different positions but cause of my background check, my application had been denied. On the other hand I have referred three of my friends to the program and they now have full time IT jobs with a starting salary of 35k and up.

YEARUP is an one year long program that they pay you and you receive 18 college credits. The first six months will be a piece of cake for you because it is all in class training of the ins and outs of computers. The next six months is an apprentice position that will offer you real life work experience and about 75% of the time the company will keep you on board as a full time employee.

Trust me, this is an excellent program.
