Re: The 1st Annual "BEST OF RICHMOND CAR SHOW" at Hooters West Broad
I can respect any jack-hole that supports a great cause believe me, but I'm not gonna go chill with OJ Simpson just cause he gave to charity and besides, that has nothing to do with a shop as large as RPM not being able to pick a better venue. And your right, a parking lot is a great place to have a car show, for example...... a park, an abandoned mall, or an actuall business who's products/services are relative to the "show" going on, not a HOOTER's, which probally only let it go down for the free advertisment/customers.
The reason why we clown so hard on everything revolving around RPM is the simple fact that RPM has gained a reputation for selling average products and services for outrageous prices. The best they can do is price match, which to me is just an excuse to rape the more "automotive-ignorant" customers that walk in their door. Why not just go to the company that offered the better price to begin with? " Pimpin' rides since 1985 " Shit....... Xzibit doesn't even "pimp rides" any fuggin' more.... and "More chrome gets you dome, naw meeee"..... advertise that at your next charity event... see how well that goes over.
As for ME "hating", I've tryed to shop at RPM in the past and left disappointed, all because of the rediculously advertised prices IN THE STORE. As far as I'm concerned, RPM is just another company exploiting a niche market and could careless about any automotive culture of any kind. This is the reason I don't and will never support RPM no matter how much money the give to charity. Here's a good example;
RPM; throws car shows in parking lots of chain restaurants to draw in customers
Adrenaline Autosports; Throws cook outs after hours for they're customers
Enough said.....
