I'd trust the dipstick, assuming that the dipstick tube hasn't moved out of the block or something like that. How are you measuring that it's 100% full if the dipstick says no oil and the engine sounds like it's oil starved? What you're saying doesn't add up.

When you changed the oil and put the factory recommended amount of oil in, what did the dipstick say?
