Also, the shop says I have to get a custom exhaust b'c it's near impossible to get a pipe to bend for the eclipse. What's up? The exhaust system they offered was $650, can't I get one for $300? Keep in mind I'm keeping my stock muffler.
What exhaust shop was this? Yes go 2.5 inches, but I would go with mandrel bent piping because the pressbent 2.5 will probably be less than 2.25 in the bends and kinda defeats the purpose. From what I have seen, all shops in the area use press benders. You can go to rnrracing.com i believe they have cheap catbacks. Also unless you plan on doing somekind of custom modification to your stock muffler I wouldnt use it, that restriction is going to cause a bottleneck and the exhaust gasses are going to build up. Your egts will skyrocket and thats not a good thing. Then again you are going to be at relatively low boost, so it might not make as much of a difference as it would me, since I am running in the neighborhood of 22 psi at the moment.
