You can drive extremely fast, far faster than you can imagine at age 17 in a mostly stock Civic I assure you, placing the car exactly where you want it by sliding around at well into triple digit speeds on a road course while fully in control - but it's not something that comes to anyone overnight. Crawl before you walk, right? I've been doing these events - sometimes dozens a year, since before you were born - and I still learn something new every time. That's how complicated - and addictive, and silly fun - it really is.
