I propose that after a team is formed 1 driver can score as a team. This can be accomplished by a handicap factor, a simple multiple of like 1.05 for the first missing team member and 1.10 for the second. This will be put against the fastest time of the slowest present team team member
One thing to consider.... if someone has a bad day and hits cones/DNFs, they could just be "absent" and take the 5% penalty.
