there's no need to but if you want you can. use minwax spray can polyurathane only!!! be sure to tape off the pressure sensor behind the sst chip. also wait for it to get good and dry, about 8-9 hours indoors before you hook it back up and run it. also do about 2 coats very, very lightly.
