I was thinking the same thing. it's more than likely the muffler you installed on the car making the deep tone. It is resonating. If you had an exhaust leak before and the only problem you saw was the tailpipe falling off, that wasn't your problem. The pipe after the muffler will not make a large impact on sound at all. I would put the car in the air and look over the entire exhaust system again.
