court costs are 66 dollars you have to pay regardless whether you get off or not....virginia beach traffic court for fix it tickets go like this you go in the clerk comes out before the judge even comes out and says "if your pleading guilty go pay your fines, if you plead innocent you can plead your case to the judge" so either way you'll have to pay 66 bucks if you fix it they'll take off the actual fine but thats only if you have documentation which taking it to a shop is gonna run you more than the $30 fine. so my advice take the hit cause if you go in there saying the tip is just different the judge is just gonna say "well thats still modified" and your still gonna have to pay the fees. virginia traffic courts suck they treat it like criminal court.....YOU RAN A STOP SIGN!!!!! im gonna suspend your license cause thats the worst thing you could ever do!
