Just so you don't screw yourself, whoever comes up with the father typically gets two choices: They can have pick of the litter, or the cash equivalent of 1 puppy. Don't screw yourself by splitting anything 50 50, because you'll be putting a lot of work and money into those puppies in the first 9 weeks, not to mention have 4 or 5 little terrors running around.
