Just a heads up, Essential Arms never made complete rifles, only lower receivers. So if you have complete rifle it's basically a bunch of misc. parts assembled onto an Essential Arms receiver.

They went out of business in the early 90s. 1993 or 1994.

I think your friend's dad swindled you. You could get around $650 - $700 for it.
