Dude if you are just getting into this just buy some used tires if your stocks are thrashed. A novice dosent need race tires.

Or you can buy a good summer street tire like Falken Azenis Sport, of Kumho MX.

If you look at what class you car is in then look at who is on what tire. I run on Azenis, so dose Axelerate, and MaxQ in STS and STX and we are usually faster than alot of guys on true "R" compound race tires.

Plus like I have said for about 6 months (I have only been racing for 14 months), decide how seriouse you want to get and build the car to that. Plus you have to remember that if this is something you do want to take serious some small changes put you in a totally different class. I have to admit I really like STS.. Lightly modded(boltons only) and good Street tires, running raw times as fast as guys with a ton more money invested. Sojust come out get some seat time and make up your mind later.
