Thumbs up Re: Nissan Meet August

Sorry I didn't post this earlier.

I took a trip to the park to get a feeling of the organization:

It's actually not hard to find. I stopped by the ranger station to grab a map but I didn't really need one. There's already signs guiding drivers to the various shelters on the park. Just make sure to look for Shelter 16 (which is to the rear of it's designated area).

  • The parking lot is appx 25 yards from the shelter itself and there's plenty of parking. I'll probably be one of the 1st people there so look for the silver Z33.
  • Public restrooms are clean (at least when I was there) but they're located towards the front of the parking lot (i.e. not very close).
  • Plenty of trees for shade
  • Volleyball net. (I'll see if I can find a volleyball to bring if anyone wants to play)
  • Children's playground if anyone's brining their kids

I don't know who gonna cook but here's pix of what you'll be working with. Looked pretty shitty to me...

Seating arrangements. I counted about 24 people squeezing in those benches. (I'll bring a deck of playing cards)

Electricity will be active during our meet. I think someone already chimed in to take stereo music.

A few things I thought about. How do you guys want to handle this?
  1. We might need a few extra chairs. I called the park and bumped the the reservation count from 30 to 60. I'll follow up with them some other time.
  2. We'll need a table to place all the shit for the cook (i.e. meat, condiments, utensils, bottles, cups, etc, etc).
  3. we'll need a large cooler or two or three to house all the drinks.
