Re: 85 Camaro Z28 Black
Bought the car from someone else yes. He lied about what had been done. Timing chain ended up jumping 3 teeth off. We pulled the motor out and found out the crankshaft was scarred, the camshaft was toasted, the block was a small journal 327 bored .60 over. The heads are 400ci. So we went with a 350 block, kept the 400ci heads, got a new Comp Cam, I believe 480 lift, a machined crankshaft, new rods, bearings, and pistons, new valves, springs and retainers, machine head work, and still has all the other stuff I installed before the chain jumped. Such as 750 4 barrel carb, full msd conversion, dominator intake mani which is now ported n polished, and b&m rachet shifter. The tranny was screwy before. Was a 700r4 with a shift kit. Didn't shift right for me so I opted to do the turbo350 swap. Turbo 350 has jus been rebuilt, has a heavy duty sprag, b&m shift kit, and a 3200stall convertor. Only reason I'm selling this car is because I have a new project to work on so I just would like to sell it. No other reason. I do like the car, I just like my project better.
