I think with your height and weight, riding on a 250 would be quite akward, but ive been told on cycleforums.com in the noob section that its better to learn how to ride on two wheels first, and after getting used to that, go and get a 600. If you are in the same position i am, money IS an object/problem, so you want to spend it wisely so you dont end up wanting to spend again soon after. If you get the 250, your out a G, and gear alone for me came to 550 (excluding boots and pants). The 250's are small and i dont see any that look that good at all. If you want one, then get it. And if you havent signed up for your class yet, i wouldnt even bother getting the bike or the gear.
