Ok lets get something straight half of what you are paying them for is their expertise/knowledge the other half is time in their facility which they DID provide your vehicle. Wether or not they were able to adequately determine the problem is a different story, the question was posed earlier did they say that your ecu WAS dead or it COULD be dead, by your own admittance if they overlooked the fuse it would definetly appear to be dead.

Once again part of what you were expected (but didn't pay for) to pay for was basically their time however qualified or unqualified hey are. But at any rate by your own admission you attempted an AFC hack and apparently were unsuccessfull so your problem was induced by yourself and ANYTIME you hack into a wiring harness I would STRONGLY suggest you know exactly what wires you are cutting and what the potential outcome is, basically you prolly just shorted out a wire for your ecu against the chassis (I did it a few times myself) and one more word of advice ALL of this could have been avoided if you followed one simple first step of 90% of all electrical work! Disconnect the negative battery terminal, how many times have you seen that? Anyways I look at it this way anyone who doesn't know about electrical wiring etc more than likely would NOT be attempting an AFC hack... you apparently are a part of the group who thought they knew more than they did. Next time instead of blaming a buisness for your own oversight and lack of attention to detail. You should make sure the problem wasn't through your own inexperienced meddling in something.
Negative battery cable, one thing that will make you remember this is when you go to strip and positive lead with your teeth and get a shock...
