Oh I wasn't knocking gear at all, it's definately shady business to pull things like that, but it happens in every industry. IMO your best bet to not have something like this happen, is to not go to a chain/franchise business. If you stick to family/friend owned, or the smaller businesses, they almost always treat you better.
