Re: all motor camero?
The motors are "detuned" due to emissions restrictions - No shit.
They're also "detuned" so as not to "compete" with the Vette - No shit.
They're also "detuned" because they're "pony" cars, and I think getting 400-500hp for $25k is a bit lofty. Fbodies and GT's fill a certain niche, and they do it very well.
My, because a website says it, it must be 100% true. Hey, genius, there's a thing called being underrated. EVERYONE knows that LS1's easily do 315 at the WHEELS.
You really thing beating a GT is impressive? It really isn't.
I've known a handful of guys with Z06s, all have raced them. I have known roughly the same amount of C5 guys, where only a couple would push the gas.
The z06 is meant to be raced, I'm sure most old men who aren't interested in that at all, and just want to own a Corvette would stick to the much cheaper C5.
I threw "cheap" parts on my Prelude - right, because there are SO many aftermarket companies that SELL parts for Preludes, let me tell you. No, I had an Injen intake, DC Ceramic header, some other things I can't even remember, and a Venom VCN1000 kit.
It ran 13.8 the first time I took it to the track.
So you're saying you've seen an H22a Prelude make 300hp AT THE WHEELS, with tuning, and cams? ROFL. You're an idiot.
You can get an M3 for 50k over a Z06 - Who cares? You'd be the idiot.
You sound like the typical anti-domestic ricer. And you've supposedly been driving before I was born, yet you're rolling in a Prelude - cool, my dream is to be 35+ and still be driving a FWD Honda.
