Mitsubishi incorporated a second electric motor, a giant 150-kW unit, behind the cabin. It sends its 201 bhp to the rear tires, making this car all-wheel drive. Mitsubishi calls this new technology E-Boost, because, as the name implies, the rear-mounted motor is there to act like a supercharger or turbocharger, boosting the acceleration of the car. E-Boost is activated only when you get on the throttle aggressively, such as during passing maneuvers.
That's 470HP AWD. Too bad it tips the scales at 4000lbs.
