Ladies and Gentlemen,
The DUI Detection / Standardized Field Sobriety Testing course for the basic academy involves a live alcohol workshop. The purpose of the live drinking exercise is for the recruits to be able to hone their skills in a safe environment.
We are in need of volunteers to consume controlled amounts of alcohol and then complete standardized field sobriety tests administered by recruits.
Volunteers need meet the following criteria:
1. Be in reasonably good health
2. Have no history of alcohol abuse
3. Provide their own 80 proof liquor
4. NOT be a police officer
5. Be able to arrange for a "baby sitter" (they will accompany the drinkers during the exercise)
6. Have a ride to and from the Briarfield Training Center
7. Have no alcohol in their system upon arrival for the exercise
The training will be conducted on April 22nd, 2011 from 1700 hours until approximately 2300 hours.
