So the owner contacted Lamborghini, and apparently they didn't do anything to make the situation better. So the owner got really pissed off about paying $750,000 for his new car (the markup and taxes in China are crazy) and being treated like he didn't matter at all, so he had the locals help him draw some attention to how Lambo customers are treated in China.

So yes, it's completely real and the car was actually destroyed. It was a PR stunt, but not the kind you normally think of.
