Default Re: :mumbles: damn roanoke

ummm.....that aint smart to do.

post the name of the guy that inspected your car...and passed it...when it was illegal.

goddamn...i have the trooper come in to our shop on a monthly basis to do our follow ups and such....he could easily see this. dont post that shit man!

as for inspection...you technically dont have to have a muffler...as long as it is a non leaking system with the appropriate emmissions devices, and exits to the rear of the vehicle (or behind the pass. compartment on a truck) it is legal.

now for the STATE laws that are for Motor Vehicl Operation on the highway...that is another story.

same goes for Neons and such....i crack up everytime someone tells me they are legal as long as they are not on.....

uhh...if a light is mounted to a vehicle, it has to function. if it doesnt function, it doesnt pass. the light also has to have a D.O.T. number (or SAE ) clearly visible on te lens somewhere. if not...it doesnt pass. that is why most clear tails are illegal, because they dont have DOT certification.

anyone remember the APC class action lawsuit a few years back?

some inspectors are not that picky about some things such as wiper blades and such...but that is up to the inspector as to whether or not he wants to risk doing a sticker on your car.

red bulbs in signals are illegal..not only for SI but for motor vehicle code too.

no converter is not only a state law, BUT [office space]federal send you to a pound me in the ass prison [/office space]

worn tires are just ignorant to be riding around on anyway, and a steering issue is safety too.....

just my State Inspectors comments for the day.....
