If you want to keep the motor happy and alive keep the lift on the cam under .600 for intake and exhaust and keep the revs below 7k. When you put bigger cams in with very high lift you end up needing to service the valve springs much more often and even then they're still more prone to random breakage. You can build an LSX to take any RPM you want, but all the guys who spin them over 7k all the time end up building new motors more often. Danny Pop, Wally Hessami, etc. etc. like to turn near 8000 rpms. They sound amazing though!
What's the deal with that shifter? Is it one where you don't have to use the clutch once your moving? Is it a H-pattern still? The removable panel is a good idea. In the Panoz the entire trans tunnel cover comes out.
You going to try and make the UTCC weekend?
Oh... and is the steering rack going to be repositioned? As it sits I can't think of a pan that will fit in that gap.
