Well if you can still drive on it then it must not be that bad. Rebuild kits are only like 400 and thats for the carbon coated synchros and what not and instructions can be found online for days. Good luck to you but honestly think a rebuild would be more worth your time and money. Took me 4 years and 6 transmissions before I got a good deal and it was actually the trans I was looking for so I understand more then most your concern.
