ok, ill try to give u an idea by using analogies from auto sports to people crap
dragracing is like sprinting
circle track racing is like marathons or other endurance races
road raceing is kidna like cross country ... only .. maybe x5
autocross is kinda like gymnastics, without the flipping and such (hopefully)
drifting is like dancing

ultimatly after your done drifting, you havent accomplished anything, you just had a good run. you arent trying to get the best time or anything, just trying to have as much fun as you can and do it as aesthetically flawless as possible. If its a competition, you are judged based on technique, showmanship, and overall performance.
