You will have to swap heads, you cannot modify a LS head for Vtec. You will also have to buy a LS/Vtec conversion kit (Golden Eagle for example, look it up on Ebay) or fabricate a means of getting oil pressure up to the new Vtec head, because the LS block does not have the interior oil passageway needed to supply the Vtec solenoid.
