what plugs you running? how many kv's are the stock coils?

I am just running ford motorsport plugs (1 step colder), gapped at .028 (because of the spark blowout), and yes its coming for the 96-98 cars

I took this from another member at a messageboard

The 96-98-type stock coils can go as high as 80,000Vs. But the current is very low, that's why no one dies from a 50,000V burst when playing with their ignition. Current is not as much as a factor in ignition systems.

To let you know how well the stock Cobra wires and coils are, I ran 22-24psi on my STOCK motor with STOCK coils and STOCK wires without blowout, up to 7500rpms, and a gap of .035" with the Autolite 764s. All I added was an hotter ignition source. Hotter meaning more amps. Which in my case, was the Kenne Bell Boost-a-Spark. I now run (or trying to run) an MSD DIS4 for multi-spark and hopefully even more current.

damn thats not bad what all you got done to your cobra?
thanks,
Stock Block unfortunately
V2-S2
AFM Power Pipe
42 injectors
Pro-M 80mm Maf
Magnaflow X Pipe
Magnaflow Magnapacks
Custom Tune

nice numbers. so i take it your gonna go for a couple more pulls once you get your ignition on there?
I wish, its like 100 an hour on the dyno so I will hold off, after i get the BAS installed it doesnt need to be retuned so I should be ok, I am expecting a 10 rwhp gain

Great numbers. What are your best times at the track?
Havent been to the track yet, just got the car before the winter, stored it and now its time for mods
