Thermal wraps generally work better than thermal coatings at trapping in heat but they also trap in moisture which means rust. Also, because your header will run hotter (good for power) the metal will fatigue quicker and gaskets fail sooner. If you do go with a thermal wrap get a header with a corrosion inhibiting coating to help it last.
