Actually I had a friend of mines 87 T/A while he was away for a summer when I was in high school and it had the LB9 (TPI 305) package, the suspension was okay but it seemed to have a lot of give, and a little too much throttle (sometimes on purpose) it would just break loose and this was a relatively stock 305, only thing done to it at that point was a cam.

Even with the better setup (which my friend had in his T/A) the response seemed relatively sluggish compared to imports (mainly european but also japanese) As long as your happy with it tho, thats your preference. I bought my car and bulit it to carve corners not 1320 timeslips although 13's and less is always nice to have.
