Bump...when fixing the shifter, i disconnected the battery to work on the car. Now with the battery hooked back up, the alarm is going crazy. Could be the ignition switch as they tend to go back and do funny things. I have a new replacement switch but not installed. I just don't have time to fool with it any longer. With that said...

EDIT: Alarm and no start issue FIXED. Running and shifting like a champ now.
