I completely get where you're coming from. Thing is, some of the fastest road course S2000s are N/A, with nearly stock engines. It all comes down to shocks, aero, tires, and weight. And I'm talking $5k+ shocks, obnoxious wings, gutted interiors, and R-comps. Most of the top Japanese companies are all running N/A cars as their primary race car... ASM, Spoon, Mugen (when they used to care about the S2000), J's, etc.
I know I wouldn't want a turbo'd S on track, especially one with high boost.
I feel you on that, but with a proper boost by gear set-up and a twin-scroll set-up, you can bring in the boost early and not drastically upset the rear. I guess its just different strokes as ya'll say.
